Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Shane Stephens graduated with a BA Hons in Philosophy and an MA Communications from Monash University. Having started his career in freelance journalism, including as a film critic for Cinema Papers, he worked as an editor in publishing, before working in media analysis and marketing management. Living in Melbourne with his wife and two children, he now splits his time between marketing and writing. His recently released debut novel A Revolutionary is Born (2024) is predicted as a future bestseller.
